Caesar’s Gambit
The Roman Chess Engine & Tactical Strategy Suite
You move first. Ivory against bronze.
Tiro - Gladiator Trainee - Beginner
Every pawn is a legionary, each castle a citadel, and every king the empire itself.
The Roman Chess Engine & Tactical Strategy Suite
01 - From the workshop
Crafted, not generated
Every surface is deliberate. The stone has real veins, the pieces are carved and polished, and the Metal pipe beneath them gives true depth and light. The result is a board that feels like an heirloom, not software.
Verde Antico marble
A deep green marble board, hand-laid squares with fine veining in alternating greens, oiled to catch the light.
Ivory against bronze
White pieces carved from polished ivory, Black forged in dark bronze. Every edge trimmed in a fine line of gold.
Metal shading
A from-scratch Metal 2 pipeline casts real shadows and light. Orbit, pan, and look across the board as it stands before you.
02 - Native Apple architecture
One engine, four worlds
Written in pure Swift on a single codebase, rendered by a native Metal 2 pipeline. Begin a hand on the desktop, carry the campaign to the phone or tablet, and let it hover before your eyes in visionOS. The marble is the same marble wherever you sit.
03 - The suite
An engine for the whole board
Full chess engine
Complete rules from a clean position to the quiet endgame - castling, en passant, promotion, check, checkmate, and stalemate, judged by the engine itself.
Roman military tactics
Study the game through the campaigns that made Rome: the Centurion's Fork, the Legion Shield Wall, and the Praetorian Pins - each an earned lesson in tempo and control.
Real-time Metal 3D
The board rendered live with depth, light, and shadow. PBR-inspired shaders bring out the grain of the marble and the polish of the carve.
One piece, two targets - the double attack, delivered in a single decisive blow.
Castle early, guard the king, and build the formation the legion marches behind.
Hold a piece in place and let its own king keep it from the fight.
The legions are assembling
Be ready when the colosseum opens
A native Metal 2 and Swift chess engine for macOS, iPadOS, iOS, and visionOS. First word goes to those who ask. Send the news to whoever you would sit across the table from.
